Maverick Landing Community Services is a non-profit multi-service organization in the center of the Maverick Landing housing development in East Boston. We provide essential services including case management, eviction prevention, ESOL and Digital Literacy classes, after school youth programming, teen employment, and a weekly food distribution to residents of East Boston.
Florida Immigrant Coalition is a statewide grassroots movement led by our diverse membership of 85 organizations throughout the state including community organizations, farmworkers, youth, advocates, lawyers, union members, and more. Our main office is in Miami-Dade, but we have team members in Broward, Palm Beach, Orange, Osceola and Duval. Through the reach of our coalition members, we guarantee pro-immigrant advocacy, education and community building across the state.
Our Mission:
Bikes Not Bombs uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change to achieve economic mobility for Black and other marginalized people in Boston and the Global South. Each year we collect roughly 2,500 to 5,000 used bicycles and tons of used parts from our supporters around Greater Boston and New England. We ship most of these bikes overseas to economic development projects through our Global Partnerships in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

We are a team of academics, writers and activists who have worked since January 2024 to secure university scholarships abroad to Palestinian students still under siege in Gaza or evacuated from Gaza to Cairo. To protect our Palestinian students and ourselves from harassment, we do not disclose our name except to individual donors, institutional funders, and cooperating schools. To date, we have secured over 150 scholarships, from tuition waivers to fully-paid scholarships with stipends. Hundreds and hundreds more students await our assistance.
Naturally, many Marxist and other abolition democracy trends have developed over the years, and new ones are on the rise today.
