Spread The Vote is a nonprofit that helps eligible voters obtain government-issued photo IDs in states where ID is required for voting, thereby reducing a barrier that disenfranchises marginalized groups.
Volunteers serve as client advocates who assist voters one-on-one through the process of obtaining an ID (driving them to DMVs, helping gather documents and fees via fundraising), organize local ID drives and clinics in partnership with shelters or community centers, and raise awareness about voter ID laws and their impact through community presentations.
